Calling all cultural in-betweeners! Our goal at Dashamerican.com is to create a space that evolves in accordance with the preoccupations and desires of people like you, dear reader. Help us through submitting your best story, photo, illustration, or video. We personally respond to every submission received and offer eternal thanks and gratitude for your support.

Here are a few pointers:

1) Shorter is better. Written pieces top out at approx. 1000 words, with 600-700 being ideal. Videos should not be longer than 5 minutes. Photos and illustrations (with captions) are considered on an individual basis.

2) Please paste material wherever possible into the body of an e-mail message. Attachments must contain a standard extension for pictures (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, etc.) and video files (.avi, .mov, .wmv, etc).

3) Please include a brief author bio and feel free to include links to your blog, book, etc.

4) We’re willing to take risks on new forms of material not outlined above.
